A long 5 years since his last full length on Dekmantel, Basic Soul Unit returns with his signature mix of deep sounds on his own Lab.our imprint (run along with partner J-UL). Whereas the previous album showcased a stripped back and harder industrial edged sound, this one explores a return to his melodic and deeper side. Perhaps during a time of tension and uncertainty in the world, the songs here are necessarily more reflective and soulful. Yet, the dancefloor is never too far away as the tracklist melds house, techno and broken beats with warmth for both the mind and the body.
